Case Managers and Office Personnel
Huong is the firm’s Office Manager. She has been with the firm since 1997. Previously, she was an office manager in the manufacturing and non-profit sectors. She immigrated to Minnesota with her family from Vietnam when she was four years old.
Ayako initially joined Myers Thompson in 2002 as an intern and is now an Immigration Case Manager. She is originally from Japan and speaks Japanese and English. Ayako works on all aspects of non-immigrant and immigrant visa cases, including complex multinational transfers, consular procedures, employment authorization, and reentry permits.
Eugene has been a Case Manager with the firm since 2004. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Minnesota, and a MBA from the University of St. Thomas. He is originally from Russia and speaks Russian, Spanish, and English. Eugene’s background includes all aspects of employment-based immigration cases and includes extensive experience in family-based, adjustment of status, and naturalization case preparation.
Brian Puckett has 11 years of experience in the immigration practice area. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Kenyon College. He began his career in immigration case support roles as an Immigration Case Manager with our firm in 2005. From 2010 to 2016, he worked for national immigration practitioners in high-volume immigration firms in New York City and Portland, Oregon, before re-joining our firm as an Immigration Case Manager in 2016. He has diverse experience with many areas in personal and business-related immigration law.
Tatiana holds a Master’s degree in Teaching Foreign Languages from the Russian Pedagogical State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. Equipped with several years of previous immigration law experience, gained in New York City and in Minneapolis, she joined the firm as an Immigration Case Manager from 1997 to 2004. From 2004 to 2016, she worked in Russia in corporate finance as well as in an academic environment before rejoining the firm as an Immigration Case Manager in June 2016. Tatiana is fluent in Russian and English.
Hannah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and German from Yale University. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an Assistant Paralegal and an Immigration Paralegal at law firms in Washington, D.C. and Minneapolis where she gained experience preparing a variety of non-immigrant and immigrant cases. She speaks English and German.
Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights Studies with a concentration in genocide prevention from Columbia University. She joined the firm in 2018, having previously served as the Director of Refugee Arrival Services at a local refugee resettlement agency for four and a half years. Michelle’s experiences in refugee resettlement broadened her interest in U.S. immigration, and highlighted to her the exceptional values, talents, and skills that individuals from around the world contribute to our communities both here in Minnesota and across the country. Michelle is fluent in English and French.
Alyssa joined the firm in 2018 and is excited to continue to work in a field that helps people. Though she has previous experience as an Administrative Assistant at a Fortune 500 company, she most recently taught preschool for six years; although she will miss many aspects of that career, she is excited to be a part of a different team of talented, hard-working people who make it their aim, every day, to help people.
