Allison graduated magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law. She received a B.A. in Journalism and Spanish, as well as an M.A. in Spanish from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Allison has a wide array of employment-based immigration experience. She has advised employers on a variety of employment-based immigration opportunities (permanent and temporary), the immigration impact of corporate restructuring, and regulatory compliance (I-9 and E-Verify policies and audits). Allison is fluent in Spanish and taught Spanish at the college level prior to attending law school. While in law school, Allison was a student attorney in William Mitchell’s Immigration Law Clinic, earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Constitutional Law, and was a Co-Editor-in-Chief of the William Mitchell Law Raza Journal of Law and Diversity. Prior to joining Myers Thompson, Allison practiced in the area of employment-based immigration law with another firm in Minneapolis. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and provides pro bono services through the Advocates for Human Rights.
