Case Managers and Office Personnel
Huong is the firm’s Office Manager. She has been with the firm since 1997. Previously, she was an office manager in the manufacturing and non-profit sectors. She immigrated to Minnesota with her family from Vietnam when she was four years old.
Ayako initially joined the firm in 2002 as an intern and is now an Immigration Case Manager. She is originally from Japan and speaks Japanese and English. Ayako works on all aspects of non-immigrant and immigrant visa cases, including complex multinational transfers, consular procedures, employment authorization, and reentry permits.
Eugene has been a Case Manager with the firm since 2004. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Minnesota, and a MBA from the University of St. Thomas. He is originally from Russia and speaks Russian, Spanish, and English. Eugene’s background includes all aspects of employment-based immigration cases and includes extensive experience in family-based, adjustment of status, and naturalization case preparation.
Hannah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and German from Yale University. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an Assistant Paralegal and an Immigration Paralegal at law firms in Washington, D.C. and Minneapolis where she gained experience preparing a variety of non-immigrant and immigrant cases. She speaks English and German.
Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights Studies with a concentration in genocide prevention from Columbia University. She joined the firm in 2018, having previously served as the Director of Refugee Arrival Services at a local refugee resettlement agency for four and a half years. Michelle’s experiences in refugee resettlement broadened her interest in U.S. immigration, and highlighted to her the exceptional values, talents, and skills that individuals from around the world contribute to our communities both here in Minnesota and across the country. Michelle is fluent in English and French.
Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies with a concentration in China Studies from St. Olaf College. Prior to his employment at Myers Thompson Medeiros, Paul interned at the Advocates for Human Rights and the Karen Organization of Minnesota, where he gained experience navigating the U.S. asylum system and learned how policy shapes immigrant communities in Minnesota. Paul speaks English, Mandarin, and German.
Grace holds a B.A. in Global Studies and Spanish from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She joined the firm in 2019, having previously worked as a Paralegal at an immigration law firm in St. Paul, focusing on cases involving deportation and removal defense, family-based immigration, and humanitarian relief. Grace also has experience in the area of housing law, having previously worked as a Spanish-speaking tenant advocate for a non-profit that offers free legal help to renters in Minnesota. Grace is fluent in Spanish.
Alyssa joined the firm in 2018 and is excited to continue to work in a field that helps people. Though she has previous experience as an Administrative Assistant at a Fortune 500 company, she most recently taught preschool for six years; although she will miss many aspects of that career, she is excited to be a part of a different team of talented, hard-working people who make it their aim, every day, to help people.
